Covid19 Procedures

Due to COVID-19, we wanted to let you know about our plans to ensure that your child(ren) are safe while in our care. It is important that all of us work together to mitigate and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our center and in our community. The following are some policies we have implemented based on guidance from the CDC and the Department of Education, and will continue to enforce as we progress into the school year:

  1. All staff and children will be screened upon arrival. Temperature will be checked and parents will answer concerning symptoms.

  2. All staff and school-age children will wear a mask while in the care of CLC. Masks for preschool children is noty required and is up to the discretion of the parent. The only exception to the mask rule is during snack and lunch time, during which children will be appropriately social distancing.

  3. No parents/caregivers will be allowed inside the building. Parents/caregivers of preschool children will drop off and pick up their children at their child's classroom's outside door. Parents/caregivers of schoolage children will walk their children to the front door in the morning to be checked. From there, staff members will ensure they get to their appropriate classroom. Schoolage children will be picked up from the side door by flag poles. There will be signage to help with where to go.

  4. We will continue our cleaning procedures that we have always done, which are in line with what the CDC and DOE recommend. This includes proper hand washing practices, and the frequent cleaning and disinfecting of our classrooms, our busses, and our playground equipment. There will also be hand sanitizer available at all times.

  5. It is not possible to always socially distance while on our busses or on campus, however we will do our best to socially distance when feasible. Children will still wear face masks and will use hand sanitizer before getting on the bus and as they exit the bus.

  6. We will utilize outdoor play time for fresh air as much as the weather permits.

As you know, these are challenging times for everyone, and information is changing and evolving what seems like daily. We will continue to follow CDC and DOE recommendations as they are updated. We will be sure to communicate with you when changes are made.  Please join us in praying for our center, the families we serve, our community, our country, and our world as we navigate this global pandemic.
