Age Requirement:
- Children entering our three-year-old program must be three (3) years of age on or before August 15th of the school year they wish to attend.
Ratios:
- Classrooms have up to eighteen children each, with a full-time lead teacher, a morning assistant teacher, and an afternoon assistant teacher.
Classroom set-up:
- Each classroom is set up with the following centers to allow for independent exploration and play:
-Art -Blocks/Construction
-Books/Quiet Area -Computer
-Dramatic Play -Fine Motor/Manipulatives
-Science -Sensory Table
- Each classroom also has its own private bathroom with a child-size toilet.
Daily Schedule:
- We open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding specified holiday and teacher in-service days. For a list of CLC Closings, click here.
- Daily activities for our three-year-olds allow for both structured and independent learning experiences. In addition to learning in the classroom, the children attend enrichment classes such as Art, Spanish, Music, and Library. Children also have unstructured playtime daily where they utilize either our indoor or outdoor playground.
- We provide a morning snack and an afternoon snack with water for your child every day. However, parents are to provide a ready-to-eat lunch each day for their child.
Toilet Training:
- Three-year-old children must be fully potty trained in order to attend our preschool. This means that they are no longer wearing pull-ups/diapers, are accident free, and are able to take care of all of their toileting needs independently, including wiping themselves, without being reminded.
